When it comes to Jingle Bells, I very much prefer Bing Crosby’s version to Frank Sinatra’s version. I am not questioning Sinatra’s prowess as a singer. He is one of the greatest singers of all time. His version of “My Way” is one my favorite songs. I just grew up on Bing Crosby’s Christmas music. He has the ultimate Christmas music voice. When I hear Sinatra’s version of “Jingle Bells” on the radio, although the background singers add a nice twist when they spell B-E-L-L-S, I am always overwhelmingly disappointed when I do not hear “Oh, we have a lotta fun” toward the end of the song.
