Do you ever think about how we say our years, or basically just numbers in general? For the year right now, 2022, we say twenty, twenty-two. This way of saying numbers, two numbers to identify a larger number, seems to stop at 4 digits. For instance, when it becomes (if it ever becomes (doubtful)) 20,022, we (I use “we” to identify humanity – not us (none of us will live this long)) will not say two hundred, twenty two. Instead, we will say Twenty thousand, twenty two. Two hundred, twenty two is reserved for 222.
