Being in a wheelchair was my worst nightmare.
I had an accident,
and I am now living my one-time nightmare.
When I was training for a marathon,
I did not imagine my nightmare would
test my strength like nothing can,
make me a better man,
bring amazing people into my life,
and result in great self-esteem.
It turns out I am not living my nightmare.
My nightmare is turning into someone
whose world is dark and disabled,
not someone in a wheelchair.
My world is very far from dark or disabled.
In a wheelchair I can find happiness
greater than I ever imagined.
