Most of us, not all of us, understand when our sometimes obnoxious behavior annoys others. As my cat annoyed me for food, I thought of how a cat has no understanding of when its annoying behavior becomes “too much.” Apart from fear of being sprayed with a spray bottle, my cat has no insight on when to stop. She will annoy one (my mom) to the extreme degree simply to receive her bowl of food in the morning. She will run under my mom’s legs repeatedly when she hungry, and then move on to my dad after my mom trips and dies from a countertop-head-wound.
