Covid continues to destroy life.
New cases continue to pop up.
It used to be just friends of friends that got it.
Now, my friends are getting it.
I stay safe and am fully vaccinated,
but do I have it?
Social distancing is not fool-proof,
and the vaccine is not 100%.
I wish life would just resume like old.
Instead I must continue to live this altered life,
where I do not hug anyone (even my mom).
I also want to run like old. Instead, I need to work.
If I work everyday, I must believe
I will run one day.
We all want life to resume like old.
As much as we may not want to,
if we work everyday,
and do the right thing,
life will go back to how it used to be.
